LOUISBURG - Anderson Fort, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 at Zollieville Nursing Home in Louisburg. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 25, at Feggins & Feggins Funeral Chapel in Wake Forest. Burial followed in Wake Forest Cemetery in Wake Forest.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Swift Fort and Hattie Jones Fort. He was educated in the Wake County public school system.

Surviving: a special niece and nephew, Hattie Jackson and Michael Alston; a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
