YOUNGSVILLE - Myrtle Arrington Lyles, 92, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at Union Grove Baptist Church in Youngsville, with Pastor Samuel Tunstall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born to the late Herbert and Lillie Mae Reid Arrington of Franklin County. She graduated from Albion Academy in Franklinton as class valedictorian. Surviving: sons, John Lyles Jr. of Aurora, Colo., Joseph Canada and Eddie Weiss (Kimmie) of Charlotte; a daughter, Annie Lyles of Bowie, Md.; five grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
