LOUISBURG - Evelyn Sturges Ball, 92, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 in Carebridge Assisted Living. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 10) at Duke Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jack Edge officiating. Entombment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Graham Bobbitt “Preacher” Ball; daughters, Betty Ball Hamlet and Joyce Ball Perdue; brothers, Raymond and Runt Sturges; sisters, Mary S. Fuller, Anna S. Greene, Dorothy S. Saad and Lillian S. Youngman.

Surviving: sons, Bobby Ball (Nancy) of Louisburg, Danny Ball of Louisburg; 11 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
