WAKE FOREST - Pauline Shearon Ranes, 86, died Saturday morning, Dec. 27, 2008 at Hillside Nursing Center. A memorial service honoring her life was conducted Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Franklinton, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Tempie Wood Shearon and Charlie Pride Shearon, and was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Jackson.

Surviving: nephew, Jerry A. Jackson (Barbara) of Franklinton; one great-niece; and a great-great-niece.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1245 Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Road, Franklinton.
