WENDELL - Carley Rogers, 72, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan.14) in the Strickland Funeral Home chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park.

He was a native of Wake County and was known as “The Produce Man of Wendell.”

Surviving: his wife, Nancy B. Rogers; daughters, Wanda Mullen of Wendell, Debbie Smith of Raleigh and Sharon Rogers of the home; sons, Lavon Rogers of Louisburg and Danny Rogers of the home; two half sisters; one half brother; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
