FRANKLINTON - Peggy Grissom Jones, 59, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at UNC Hospital. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Jan. 31) at Forestville Baptist Church, Wake Forest. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton.

She was born in Vance County, the daughter of the late Marion Clark Grissom and Bobby Lawrence Grissom.

Surviving: husband, Sidney Albert Jones; son, Michael Tully Jones of Franklinton; stepfather, George Dickerson of Franklinton; sister, Diana Perry (Earl) of Wake Forest; brother, Robert Dickerson (Ginger) of Franklinton; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Sidney Scott Jones, who died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009.
