CASTALIA - Funeral services for Linwood R. Dale Sr., 64, who died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Gillfield Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Melvin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: sons, Timothy Dale and Jeffrey Dale, both of Wood, Linwood Dale Jr. of Wilson, David Dale of Tacoma, Wash., Tony Dale of Browns Summit, and Christopher Dale of Kannapolis; sister, Marie Chittenden of Sommerset, N.J.; brothers, Fred H. Dale of Norfolk, Va., Thomas Dale and Andrew Dale, both of Wood; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 11) at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
