Franklinton, NC -- Evelyn Marie Montague, age 97, of Franklinton, (aka, Emorie), daughter of the late William and Ethel Jeffreys Montague was born March 18, 1929, in Franklin County, NC. She died April 13, 2026.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Montague; four brothers, William, Jr., Jessie, Joe Louis, and Earl.
She is survived by a son, William Oscar Montague (Lula) of Louisburg, NC; four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; a nephew; a special friend; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Friday, April 17, at Cutchins Family Mortuary & Cremations, Franklinton. Director Joseph B. Cutchins, Jr., CFSP, officiating.
