RALEIGH - William E. Trent II, 70, died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 18, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. Burial followed in the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Reidsville, son of the late Harrison S. Trent and Bernice Joyner Trent. Mr. Trent was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Christopher and Joshua Trent.

Surviving: his wife, Jacqueline Trent; children, William Trent III (Lisa), Jennifer T. Mitscherlich (Christopher), all of Raleigh, Janet T. DeCarli (Jerry) of Youngsville, Gina T. Stewart (Robert) of Wake Forest; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
