FRANKLINTON - Archibald Finley “Mac” MacDonald, 66, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at WakeMed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, with Father Philip Tighe officiating.

He was born in Detroit, Mich., and was a QuarterMaster 3/c ret USN. He received a Victory Medal, a Bronze Star and four battle stars.

Surviving: his wife, Alyce MacDonald; children, Dean MacDonald (Katie Torchio) and Victoria McDonald; stepchildren, Karen Conyers, Linda Hughes (Donald), Susan VanDam (Jeff) and Michael Sarola (Kim); nine siblings and numerous grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Mass be said at any Catholic church and that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
