WASHINGTON, D.C. - Merdith Mae Richardson, 67, formerly of Louisburg, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. at Perry’s Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randolph Alston officiating. Burial followed in the Ellis family cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Arthur Richardson of the home; sons, Arthur Richardson Jr. (Karen) of Laurel Md., Douglas Ray Richardson (Teresa) of Hyattsville, Md., and Fredrick Richardson of the home; sisters, Edith Allen, Rebecca Hicks and Tona Thomas, all of Louisburg; brother, Willie Percy Alston of Durham; two grandchildren.
