ZEBULON - Sybil Perry Watkins, 71, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at Duke University Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Nov. 12, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest, with the   Rev.   J.   Marshall Neathery and the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Beulah Christian Baptist Church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Mack Donald Perry Sr. and Lovie Gladys Robertson Perry, and was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Ruby Clark Perry, and a brother, Gay Perry.

She was retired from the Wake County School System.

Surviving: husband, Jimmy W. Watkins; daughters, Lovie Watkins Rogers of Zebulon and Jamie Watkins Rogers (David) of Wendell; brothers, Mack D. Perry Jr. of Raleigh and Howard Glenn Perry of Nashville, Tenn.; and one grandson.
