WILLOW SPRING - Newton Henry Burgess Jr., 68, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Dec. 12) in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Surviving: wife, Miriam Lynch Burgess; daughters, Kim (Mark) Robbins of Louisburg, Sherry Perry of Bunn and Donna Reisser of Garner; sisters, Katie Lee Barbour, Rosa Lee Combs and Elsa Lee Lyman; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
