LOUISBURG - Hattie Dunston Alston, 81, died Saturday, December 12, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted today (Wednesday, Dec. 16) at 1 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellis family cemetery.

Surviving: daughter, Clora Branch of Louisburg; sons, Elonnie Alston, Jr. and Larry Alston, both of Chapel Hill, Jurother Alston of Carrboro, Ervin Alston and Cleveland Alston, both of Durham; sisters, Annette Plummer of Freehold, N.J. and Martha Richardson of Louisburg; thirty grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren.
