RALEIGH - Carrie T. Brodie, 61, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Old Liberty Baptist Church, Louisburg, with Dr. Charles Murrill officiating.

She was born in Portsmouth, Va., to the late John and Louise Bobbitt Talley. She was an honors graduate of Dubois High School in Wake Forest and continued her education at Granville Community College.

Surviving: son, Brion Brodie of Henderson; sisters, Mary Bowden of Franklinton, Gearleen Ellison of Tampa, Fla., Barbara Cato-Dunston of Raleigh, Margaret Talley of Chicago, Ill., and Bettie Talley of Wake Forest; brothers, John Talley Jr. of Youngsville and Rickey Talley of Franklinton; and four grandchildren.
