PILOT - David Clyde Pearce, 75, died at his home Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, March 20) at Pilot Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Pearce family cemetery.

He was a lifelong resident of Pilot and was a member of Pilot Baptist Church. He was always outside whether he was farming, logging or driving a truck.

Surviving: wife, Shirley Pearce; son, Wilson Pearce; daughter, Melinda Davis (Preston); sisters, Teenie Wilder and Louise Griffin; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pilot Baptist Church Youth Group or Building Fund, 8103 NC 39 Hwy. S., Zebulon, NC 27597.
