YOUNGSVILLE - Richard C. Sharpe, 81, died Monday, May 31, 2010. A graveside service was held Thursday, June 3, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was the son of the late Preto Capps Sharpe and Arthur Dean Sharpe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Sharpe and Ben Sharpe; sisters, Jeannette Bryant and Geraldine Allen.

He retired as a chemist from Burlington Industries and continued as a consultant in the industry.

Surviving: wife, Irene; sons, Tony Sharpe (Dee), Jeff Sharpe; daughters, Sandi Barbour (David), Lisa Liles (Anthony), Kristi Baker (Larry); brothers, Jimmy Sharpe (Doris), Larry Sharpe (Bonnie); sisters, Kay Black, Edna Trull (Stacy); and several grandchildren.

Flowers accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
