WAKE FOREST - Raymond Jones Sr., 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 at Wake Med in Raleigh. Funeral service was conducted Sunday, Aug. 15, at Corinth UCC in Youngsville, with Pastor Michael McCotter officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was born to the late Herman Sr. and Lizzie Hartsfield Jones of Wake County.

Surviving: wife, Ernestine A. Jones of the home; children, Marie (Henry), Raymond Earl (Alicia), Thurman (Mary), Terry, Demarcus (Cynthia) and Dwayne (Sira), all of Wake Forest; nine brothers, two sisters; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
