MIDDLESEX - Vester Howard, 90, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010. Funeral was Sunday, Aug. 22, at St. Mary Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ in Bailey. Burial was in Middlesex Memorial Gardens.

Surviving: daughter, Kathleen Howard Robinson (Luke) of Middlesex; sons, Bernard E. Howard (Mary Ann) of Elm City, Millard Howard (Marilyn) of Woodbridge, Va., Raymond Howard (Swayzine) of Youngsville, and Dennis Howard (Patricia) of Raleigh; sisters, Ruby Dingle of Durham, Magdalene Greenfield and Ella Lee Coley of Goldsboro, and Bessie Ann Bynum of Wilson; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
