WAKE FOREST - James Edward Denton Sr., 70 died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 at home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Beulah Christian Baptist Church cemetery.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Pete Denton and Mary Edwards Denton.

Surviving: son, James E. Denton Jr. of Wake Forest; daughters, Angela Denton Seagroves of Franklinton and Linett Brown of Four Oaks; sisters, Colene Knott of Wendell, Violet Allen of Zebulon and Betty Pearson of Youngsville; bothers, Douglas Denton of Wake Forest, Lafayette Denton of Wake Forest and Larry Denton of Apex; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 7 to 8:30 Thursday, Sept. 16, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Wake Forest.
