LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Dunston Allen, 77, who died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at Allen Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles McKnight officiating. Burial will follow in he church cemetery.

Surviving: husband George Allen; daughters, Gladys M. Allen of Windsor Mill, Md., Carolyn Briscoe of Raleigh, Wilma Richards of Durham, Barbara McKnight of Pinehurst, Cheryl Elliott and Marjorie Gwenette Macon, both of Durham; sisters, Dorothy Floyd of Henderson, Mamie Johnson of Louisburg, Irene Scarborough of Raleigh, Emily Toomer and Elizabeth Johnson, both of Jamaica, N.Y., and Ailean Avery of Garner; brothers, Theodore Dunston of Raleigh and John Dunston Jr. of Jamaica, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
