WAKE FOREST - Jonathan Monroe Cochran Jr., 83, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at Wake Med. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Dec. 2, at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will take place at a later date at Pachaug Cemetery in Jewett City, Conn.

He was born in Saint Louis, Mo., the son of the late Jonathan Monroe Cochran Sr. and Grace Colier Cochran. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Surviving: son, Jonathan M. “Jon” Cochran III (Laura) of Youngsville; and four granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lindo Cochran.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Wake Senior Center, 235 East Holding Avenue, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
