LOUISBURG – Margaret Cochran McCurry, 89, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday morning.

Mrs. McCurry was the youngest child of nine children of the late Paul Greg and Sally Moore Cochran and was a native of Buncombe County. She was a member of Hickory Rock Baptist Church and a Past Patron of the Eastern Star.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Luke Smith officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mrs. McCurry is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Kenneth V. McCurry; daughter and son-in-law, Rita M. and Vernon Dickerson; grandson, Travis V. Kemp; great-granddaughter, Gracey E. Kemp, all of Louisburg.
