ZEBULON - Annie Lillian “Runt” Ray, 90, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Oliver House in Wendell. Funeral service was held Thursday, June 2, at Massey Funeral Home, Zebulon. Burial was in the Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late William Spurgen and Ella V. Ray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Privette, and brothers Bill, “Doodle” and Ellis Ray.

Surviving: children Barbara Murray (Billy), Jesse Ray (Joyce), Danny Ray, Connie Taylor (Fred); eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
