GRIMESLAND - William “Steve” Thompson, 53, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011. The family received friends Thursday, June 9, at the home, 490 Arden Ridge Drive, Grimesland.

He worked as a truck driver and for the last six years had been employed with Wilco Hess.

Surviving: wife, Wanda Thompson; brothers, Edwin Thompson (Miki) of Campbell Hall, N.Y., and Harry Thompson (Eve) of Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ’s Church, 745 Davenport Farm Road, Winterville, NC 28590.
