FRANKLINTON - Kenzie Jennetta Mann “Sus,” 101,  died Thursday, June 9, 2011. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18, at Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Paula Pearce officiating. Burial was at Manasseh Cemetery.

She was born in Bertie County but was brought to Franklin County at a very early age. She received her education from Katesville School in Franklin County and was a farmer by trade. She served in many capacities at both Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church and Perry’s Seminary Baptist Church including president of the Missionary Board, president of the Sunday School, secretary and treasurer, among others.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Mann, and mother, Corinna Mann; a daughter, Willie M. Nicholson; two sons, Wilbert and Joseph T. Mann; and four grandchildren.

Surviving: sister, Inez M. Neal of Butner; two grandsons; five granddaughters; 30 great-grandchildren; 54 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren; eleven nieces and eight nephews.
