LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Edward Tharrington, 57, who died Sunday, July 3, 2011, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Louisburg High School Auditorium, with the Rev. Rory Snead officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Alphadean B. Tharrington of the home; daughters, Denise McNeil and Isis McNeil, both of Trenton, N.J., and LaToya Tharrington of Youngsville; sons, Edward Lynn McNeil of Trenton, N.J. and George Blue of Youngsville; father, Walter Tharrington Jr. of Durham; sisters, Marian Allen of Yonkers, N.Y., Mable Thomas, Sonya McKinney and Tonya McKeller, all of Durham, and Selma Hake of Wakegon, Ill; brother, James Tharrington of Lawton, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 6) at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
