HENDERSON - Funeral services for Mr. John Earl Allen, 90, who died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Emma Solomon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Ruth Thomas Allen of Henderson; daughters, Delois Allen of Henderson and Mary Phyllis Alston of Kittrell; one son, John Robert Allen of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Rosa Lou Allen and Annie Mae Allen, both of Mt. Vernon, N. Y.; brother, Loyal Allen of Wenonah, N.J.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
