LOUISBURG - Elaine Harper Knott, 76, of Louisburg, died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Duke Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. She was retired from NC Dept of Motor Vehicles.  She was the daughter of the late Forest and Beatrice Aycock Harper.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Knott, Sr., and her sister, Cora Mae Hayes.  Cryptside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am. at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Jon Dorsey officiating. 

She is survived by her son, Al Knott; her grandchildren, Kyle and Alayna Knott, all of Louisburg; her sisters, Marie Smith of Louisburg, Wordna Collins of Chesapeake, VA; her brothers, Harold Harper and his wife, Mildred, Sonny Harper and his wife, Marie, all of Louisburg, and Earl Harper of Charlotte. 

The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery.
