LOUISBURG - Betty Ray Allen Shubert, 65, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at WakeMed Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 10, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Sykes family cemetery in Wake Forest.

She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Ray.

Surviving: daughters, Brenda Lee Clavier (Randy) of Texas and Teressa Ann Lambert of Louisburg; sons, John Jasper Allen (Karen) of Mississippi and Kenneth Wayne Allen (Merrilee) of Texas; sisters, Joyce Wheeler, Mary Kearney, Gladys Privette, Maxine Hodges, Barbara Ann Barton, Charlotte and Darlene Ray; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
