LOUISBURG – Lillian Ayscue Pernell, 80, of the Alert Community, died Wednesday evening, March 21, 2012. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Alert Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Bill Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

She was a daughter of the late Joe and Lela Pernell Ayscue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. “Jack” Pernell; sister, Viola “Flye” Smith; brothers, Allie Ayscue and June Ayscue.

Surviving: son, Larry (Nancy) Ayscue of Castalia.
