FRANKLINTON —Alvin Randolph “Randy” Wheeler Jr., 56, died  Sunday, June 17, 2012 at WakeMed. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Alvin Randolph Wheeler Sr. and Agnes Luellen Dorsey  and was a water technician with Aqua America.

He is survived by his fiancé, Beverly Kearney; children, Joshua Wheeler, Gary Wheeler  (Shannon), Brandon Oakley, Tammy Oakley and Charles Wheeler, all of Franklinton; sisters, Lou Ellen Roberson, Jo Ann Dickerson, both of Franklinton, and Marie Tant (Andrew) of Henderson; grandchildren, Jaylin Wheeler, Gabriel Wheeler, Tyler James, Madison Wheeler, and Kayleann Oakley.
