SPRINGFIELD, MASS.- Joseph Lynwood Nicholson “Nick,” 80, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012. He was born in Bunn to the late Andrew and Sarah Harris Nicholson. Prior to moving out of state, he taught and coached at Gethsemane High School.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Hicks Nicholson.

Surviving: children, Cheryl Helena Mabry, Debra L. Nicholson-Franklin, and Vincent L. Hicks; brothers, James L. Nicholson and Clea A. Nicholson; seven grandchildren;  four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
