GREENSBORO —Bonnie Lancaster Cyrus, 99, a patient of the Skill Care Unit of Whitestone, a Masonic and Eastern Star Community, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 26, 2012. Visitation will be held at L. Harold Poole Funeral Services, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, from 1 to 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Dec. 29). Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Montlawn Memorial Park.

Born in Franklin County to John Thomas Lancaster and Florence Elizabeth Lancaster, she grew up on a tobacco farm in Franklin County. She  was a Youngsville High School graduate and a member of First Reliance Church in Raleigh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Cyrus; brother, Wilson Lancaster; and her sister, Estelle L. Pearce.

Surviving: six nieces and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice and Palliative Care, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
