LOUISBURG - Annie Mae Burnette, 91, of Louisburg died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Hillside Nursing Center. The daughter of the late Zeb and Sarah Collins, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Johnny Burnette and Howard Gupton; her brothers, William and Robert Collins; and her sister, Lucy Moss. 

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joel Story officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery. 

She is survived by her son, Graham Burnette; her daughter, Nancy Ann Oakley and her husband, Joe; her granddaughters, Crystal Williams and her husband, Wayne, Jennifer Burnette; and her great-grandson, Skylar Leonard, all of Louisburg.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the caregivers at Hillside Nursing Center in Wake Forest for the loving care they provided their “Ms. Annie”.
