LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Lucille Alston Dales, 99, who died Monday, March 18, 2013, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22,  at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Linda Taybron officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughter, Bessie Wardrett of Newport News, Va.; sister, Ophelia Battle of Richmond, Va.; brother, Ellis Alston of Castalia; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg on Thursday, March 21, from 3 to 7 p.m.
