LOUISBURG - Christy Lynn Brooks Dement, 43, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at her home.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Wood Baptist Church, where services will follow at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Gary Vassar officiating.

Christy was employed at Walmart in Louisburg as the cashier supervisor. 

Surviving: her daughter, Kristin Dement of Louisburg; her mother and stepfather, Judy and Joel Joyner of Louisburg; her father and stepmother, Johnnie and Denise Brooks of Garner; brothers, Johnnie Brooks Jr. and Steven Brooks of Louisburg; half sister, Amanda Brooks of Garner; grandparents, Judy and Bob Magnum of Garner, and her grandmother, Betty Brooks of Fuquay.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kristin Dement, 2245 Laurel Mill Road, Louisburg, NC  27549 to further her education.
