YOUNGSVILLE —Alton F. “Buddy” Mitchell, 77, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Michael Edwards. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Lessie Jackson Mitchell and Homer Addison Mitchell.

Surviving: children, Phyllis Mitchell-Maher (Robert) of Celina, Texas, Wade A. Mitchell of Youngsville, Bryan Mitchell (Nora) of Wake Forest; sister, Dollie Brogden of Youngsville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
