LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Avon M. Neal Sr., 59, who died Thursday, May 23, 2013, were held Monday, May 27, at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Quentin Alston officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Michelle Bullock and Evon Neal, both of Louisburg; son, Avon Neal Jr. of Louisburg; sisters, Mollie Neal, Gertrude Person and Swannie Neal, all of Louisburg; brothers, Malcolm Neal Jr. and Richard Neal, both of Louisburg; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
