LOUISBURG - Melvin R. Gupton of Louisburg passed away tragically on June 12, 2013 at the age of 56 due to a work accident.  He was known for his outgoing, joking, smiling personality and his amazing cooking.  But most of all, he was known for his love of his family.  He was a devoted husband, Daddy, Papa, Brother & friend.  He was loved greatly and will be missed beyond measure by everyone that knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Virginia Gupton.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; his daughters, Mandi Mittelsteadt (Lloyd) and Nikki; his brothers, Richard Gupton (Sandra) and Terrell Gupton (Sharon); his granddaughter, Skylar, who was the apple of his eye, whom he always called Dink; special family and friends, Pastor Gary & Francis Vassar.
