RALEIGH — Jose Manuel Perez, 64, died Saturday, June 15, 2013.  He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Manuel and Ligia Henriquez Perez.  He was a juvenile detentions counselor.  Funeral services will be private.

Surviving: daughter, Vanessa (George) Gantt, and Vanessa’s mother, Myrna Perez; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Jose Perez.
