NORFOLK, VA - Janice Winstead McBurney of Norfolk, Va., died  Thursday, May 30, 2013.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Rock Spring Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bunn Cemetery in Bunn.

Born in Smithfield, N.C., she was a retired librarian for Norfolk Public Schools.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jay and Gladys Winstead of Raleigh (formerly of Bunn).

Surviving: sons, Stewart F. (April) and Andrew Scott McBurney, all of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Joye Voshell (Robert) of Raleigh; two grandsons, one nephew; one uncle and numerous cousins.
