MARY TURNER BRYANT
Mary Turner Bryant of Louisburg, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Annie Nolley Turner and Lloyd Henry Turner, died on Friday, June 14. A memorial service of remembrance was held at Louisburg United Methodist Church at 2:00 on June 16. The family received friends at the church after the services.
Mary graduated from Henderson High School and Park View Hospital School of Nursing. She spent her working life as a registered nurse and cared for premature and sick newborns, victims of accidents, and illness. Mary was also a mentor to many younger nurses as they became skilled nurses themselves. As a member of the Louisburg United Methodist Church, she served on a number of committees but was most pleased when she was made a Stephen’s Minister.
Mary is survived by her son, Bob Bryant (Wendy); grandson, Andrew Bryant; and step-grandson, Austin Robertson; niece, Anne Hutchinson Summerlin of Raleigh, and nephew, Duncan Hutchinson (Sandy) of Charleston, South Carolina. Also surviving are cousins, Martha Ford Miller (Dale) of Louisburg, Charles E. Ford, Jr.(Maurine) of Wilmington and George Anne Ford of Cottonwood, Arizona.
While Mary appreciated the beauty of flowers, she often stated that flowers were best appreciated by the living. Memorials may be made to Louisburg United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
The family received friends at other times at the home of Martha and Dale Miller at 105 Loy Drive, Louisburg.
