LOUISBURG – Ollie Morrison Merritt, 92, died peacefully Friday morning at his home.  He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Vivian Mae Faulkner and Charlie Spencer Merritt.  Mr. Merritt was an Army Veteran of WW II and member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Funeral service was held 3 pm Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family received friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Janie E. Merritt; daughters, Toni Merritt Davis and husband, Al  of Richmond, VA., and Terri Land and husband, Sam, and a grandson, Jason Land, all of Louisburg.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 4246 US 401 N., Louisburg, NC 27549.
