LOUISBURG - Charles Harrison Flippo Jr. 67, died Monday Aug. 5, 2013. He was born in Stafford, Va., son of the late Laura Wood Cardwell and Charles H. Flippo Sr.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating.

Surviving: wife, Marie Flippo; daughter; Rose Jordan of Louisburg; son; Robert Choat of Louisburg, sisters; Peggy Cooper of Asheville and Florence Griffin of Wake Forest; brother; Greg Cardwell of Durham; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
