LOUISBURG – Matthew “Matt” Justin McCormick, 28, of Louisburg, died Monday night.

Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lucille Denton.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.

Matt is survived by his wife, Tiffany McCormick; daughters, Alana McCormick and Alyssa McCormick, all of Louisburg; mother and stepfather, Ava Denton Addington and Kenneth Addington of Rocky Mount; sister, Caitlyn Schoultz of Greensboro; stepbrother, J.R. Addington of Youngsville; maternal grandfather, J.B. Denton of Louisburg; special aunt, Hilda Soden of Rocky Mount.
