FRANKLINTON—Viola K. McCane, 69, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will be held in Georgetown, Ohio.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dorothy Holland Steele and George Steele. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Larry and Daniel Steele.

Surviving: husband, Terry McCane; daughter, Christy Campbell of Ghanna; sons, Greg Blankenship of Brooksville, Ky., and Mark McCane of Floyds Knobs, Ind.; sisters, Jean Rose, Gloria Steele, Betty Fussnecker, Emily Steele, Alice Hile and Pam Layman; a brother, Gary Steele; and six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 249 Holden Road, Youngsville, NC 27596.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
