WAKE FOREST - William Hart Jr., 77, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 a his residence.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m. at Stairway Christian Worship Center in Wake Forest, with Pastor Michael McCotter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wake Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

He was born in Gates County to the late William and Maggie Hart. He worked in the logging industry.

Surviving: wife, Carolyn Jeffreys Hart of the home; children, Wallace Brodie (Angela) of Spring Hope, Trampus Brodie (Lakeshia) of Durham, Michael Brodie of Durham, Condra Hodge (Lorenzo) of Rolesville, Robert Lee Jeffreys (Tahime) of Raleigh, Harold Woods of Raleigh, Linda Brodie Hodge of Wake Forest and Brenda Perry (William) of Louisburg; one brother; 29 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
