LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Linwood “Gene Boy” Chavis Jr., 40, who died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg, with Minister Brenda Manson officiating. Burial will follow in the Chavis family cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Belinda Chavis of the home; daughters, Uneshia Chavis and Destiny Chavis, both of the home; sons, Vandarious Chavis and Kevin Williams, both of the home; parents, Linwood and Rebecca Chavis of Henderson; sisters, Bertha Stokes of Louisburg and Connie Manson of Winston-Salem; brothers, Robert Lee Manson of Henderson, John Chavis and James Chavis, both of Louisburg, and Brendon Cannady of Franklinton.

Open visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
