LOUISBURG – William Grady “Bill” Haynes Jr., 53, died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 16, 2013.

A funeral service was held Saturday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Bundy officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Christine Williamson Haynes.

Surviving: wife, Chris R. Haynes; daughters, Hailey Haynes of Louisburg, Jessica H. (Jonathan) Campbell of Henderson; son, Patrick Haynes of Louisburg; sisters, Amy H. (Danny) Pleasant of Angier, Faye H. (Nick) Madson of Jacksonville, Fla., Sheila H. (David) Kershaw of Hot Springs, NC; and one granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hailey Haynes Education Fund, c/o First Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 359, Louisburg, NC 27549.
